A portrait a week of my children, once a week, every week, in 2014'

this is another photo credit by my Mom.  Thank you!!!  This was the same week she was in town being the BEST nanny and taking some of the greatest photos.  This was nearing the end of the trip and qualifies for a following week's portrait *wink, thanks mom!

Around Here - Snack Trays

WHOA!  Where did this week go?!!!

Last week sped by with Music Now shenanigans and now this week is almost ending.  I am a 52 portrait behind, but I had to post about these little snack trays we've been doing around the house.

I got the idea from Dr. Sears.  Toddlers require A LOT of sustenance, translation - LOTS of snacking.  I thought this was a fun way for Soren to build his own snacks and is super easy to keep clean and organized!

Here they are  - Soren's snack trays!

Stomp Rocket

This toy is SO cool!!  Since the weather warmed up (for a day, that is...) we got the bug to spend some time outdoors.

Rick snagged this goodie last weekend and we've already gone out to 'blast off!' three times this week.  It's a great tool for teaching all sorts of things - trajectory, space travel (i.e. the video of Soren making rocket sounds), counting, distance - you name it!

You can find the Stomp Rocket Jr. Glow Kit here.  It's 16 bucks and trust me, it's a blast!

We did however, have a slight shoe casualty from all the melted snow, while running after a 'fast, super high rocket going to the space station!'.
