NPR Music Month

This April, NPR celebrates Music Month.  So this month is about Music, simple right?  But not just music - how PUBradio is a part of local music scenes and how music feels about PUBradio.  So, not quite that simple.

To elaborate a bit more, Mr. Nolan and I decided to feature some music in Cincinnati.  Every week for this month (in addition to our monthly episode, which is on Over-the-Rhine, appropriately WVXU's own neighborhood...) - we will be speaking with Music Mecca's of the Greater Cincinnati area.  The Features will appear once a week on Fridays and will include Brian Kitzmiller of the Black Owls, The Redmoor and their new concert series reaching into the local scene, Bill Donabedian of not just Messerly and Ewing but brains behind the inception of Midpoint Music Festival and the debut of Bunbury Music Festival.  We are also chatting with Cincinnati Opera about their upcoming season and outreach - Opera in a Box, and topping the week off with the Kentucky Symphony Orchestra.

Not to be missed!  Check it out!  And if you missed our MWXSW and SXSW coverage on your local Cincinnati bands - be sure to check our facebook and web page.  See you Friday!
