The name says it all. The Gathering is a gathering of people who desire to know more about God and worship in an authentic way, but for whatever reason don't really feel comfortable in a traditional church.
Our services start at 8:30, but the first 10-15 minutes are informal gathering time. God has called us to be in community together, so taking time to get to know each other is part of our worship.
God speaks to us all in different ways, so we're trying new things to see what God's going to do. We sing, we pray, we hear the Word read and proclaimed, we celebrate Holy Communion, and we drink lots of coffee since it's early. The common bond amidst all this diversity is our lifelong commitment to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

We are led by our pastor, Rev. Susan Garder, but your viewpoints are important, too. We encourage discussion before, after, and even during our services. Thinking about God is actually a form of prayer. We're wrestling with important issues, so come prepared to engage your brain as well as your heart. You'll be glad you did.
